Question:
I've had some troubles with the American Diabetes Association
(www.diabetes.org)
1. A letter goes unanswered
2. An email request for information not on their webpage, gets me a copy
of their webpage as email.
3. Talking to a warm body to which I email him specifics. No reply by
email or phone.
Conclusion:
They collect money. They have a webpage. They are acting like a non
reputable organization.
My Response:
Anything that is sent from the American Diabetes Association gets
marked "Return to sender".
Anybody else have these experiences? What would you do?
Answer:
I'm surprised that everyone is having such a hard time with ADA. I've called and talked to live
bodies many times, and they have actually been somewhat helpful. Try calling the Washington D.C.
office, I dont know the number off hand, I always call 411. If you're calling out of state, the
area code is 202.
As for all the donation solicitation, who better to 'hit-up' for donations than those of us with
diabetes. If a cure comes great, but until then we cope and take it day by day.
