Any PA people out there?
Didn't actually see this but was on Pittsburgh tv a couple days ago.
Rate of people with diabetes is much higher in PA than other parts of
the country. Gov Ridge is supposed to be funding a project including
tests, etc fo study the problem. Interesting, huh? Nurse in my Dr's
office 3 yrs ago told me there's a higher than average rate of bladder
cancer (I had early stage) in PA and W Va also. Makes you wonder. Will
post info after I call Gov's office & find details.

Thats really interesting. I live in Louisiana right now although I haven't
checked on any formal statistics I'm certain that Lousiana has a very high rate
of diabetes (type II). Just last week, New Orleans was voted as having one of
the most unhealthiest populations in the country with high rates of obesity,
smoking, etc. Would be interesting to see the rate of diabetes here.
