What is the differnce between the glucose monitor which averages your sugars for you, and the HBA1c?

Question:
What is the differnce between the glucose monitor which averages your sugars for you, and the HBA1c?

Answer:
The glucose monitor can only average the tests you do, mine only averages the first test of the morning for 30 days. The monitor give you your BGs in mmol (or mg/dl,) the HbA1c is given in % of a certain type of hemoglobin that has been glycated. I think the A1c %s being in range of mmol #s is a coincidence.
