Question:
i have a few views
I agree i feel the food pyramid is a starting point they do say
see a dietitian. and exercise is a very important to include
in any diet, to help its success
a question i do have is -
do they feel its safer for someone to take the meds
to control the BS while on the food pyramid diet
or to increase the protein for fat?
Answer:
I have no earthly idea...I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you
asking if drs think it "better" to control sugars with medication rather
than by diet and exercise alone? Or, are you asking if the higher
percentage of protein and fat contained in a lower carb diet delays (or
eliminates) the spike of carbs, which in turn allows some T2s to come off of
meds...and if so would drs prefer to have a patient on meds or a higher
protein diet? If either of these is your question, I still don't have any
idea as to what the answer is.
