Question:
Hi, I'm a 47 year old female. Managing diabetes is new to me... I had it
for a while and ignored it. I was given a warning on March 23rd of this
year, in the form of a heart attack. I had to have an angiogram and
angioplasty to correct the damage I'd done to myself by ignoring diabetes.
Not wanting to repeat that, I am asking you for help in menu planning and
diet. (Recipies are welcome!) I'm lost and confused in all of this and
would appreciate any and all suggestions.
Answer:
Your bet bet would be to purchase a good book as a basic guide. There
are many available. Some are sold through the American Diabetes
Association. Check out this site:

If you then need specific recipes I will be happy to help if I can, for I
have a large file.
