What is the differences between the American Diabetes Association and the American Diabetic Association?

Question:
I am really just curious as to what differences in nutritional advice is given between the American Diabetes Association and the American Diabetic Association.

Answer:
The difference being each Association has a particular goal. The American Dietetic Association is to serve a basic nutritional goal. The American Diabetes Association is specifically charged with the task of aiding people with Diabetes. Diabetics have different needs than the public at large. And the American Diabetics Association does NOT have a specifically recommended diet. Therefore, as I stated, if a member of the American Diatetic Association (which is essentially a professional membership organization) tells you that you are being given an OFFICIAL DIET OF THE AMERICAN DIABETIC ASSOCIATION, then you are being misguided with out dated information, because the American Diabetic Association does NOT have an official diet.
